Our Story
The origin of N.V. Greenmust Food & Beverage is rooted in a lifelong passion for agriculture and food. From a young age, the founder developed a deep connection with the agricultural sector, combined with a strong appreciation for nutritious and flavorful food.
After studying agriculture, he grew into an agricultural expert and dedicated himself to educating and inspiring young people to explore opportunities in farming and food production. His belief was clear: local production is essential for economic growth and national independence.
Over time, Suriname became increasingly dependent on imported food, with more than 80% of food being sourced from abroad. Rising exchange rates made basic goods more expensive, contributing to growing economic challenges.
This reality became a turning point. Driven by a strong sense of social responsibility, the founder envisioned a solution: strengthening Suriname’s self-sufficiency through local food processing.
Together with like-minded partners who shared this vision, N.V. Greenmust Food & Beverage was established — a company built on sustainability, collaboration, and the ambition to create a more resilient food system.
Today, Greenmust stands as a symbol of hope, resilience, and progress, with deep roots in agriculture and a clear focus on a stronger, more self-reliant Suriname.
